What do we ask from you?

The successful applicants will support our Chef in contributing to the profitability of the restaurant function of the business through the production of quality food as well as contributing to the effectiveness and quality of the kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring that the product and service provided to our guests is of the highest standard, as well as ensuring that statutory obligations in Health and Safety and Company standards are met.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s kitchen experience.
  • Working alongside the Head Chef to prepare Taking care of daily food preparation to meet the standard and the quality expected.
  • Able to estimate the daily production needs.
  • Ensure that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.
  • Ensure highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis.
  • Knowledge of all EHO standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, handling, receiving, storage, and sanitation.
  • Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.

Additional Information

The chef role forms part of a 7 day operation, as such flexibility is required by the incumbent.  There is a minimum expectation that the role will work shifts and this means evening and weekend obligations outside of “normal” working hours.
